Obituary

David Garcia Robles, 76, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Woodlands, Texas. He was born on August 24, 1947, in Victoria, Texas to Riley and Candelaria (Garcia) Robles. He graduated from Victoria High School in 1966 and joined the United States Marines. David was honorably discharged on August 1, 1972. While in the service, he earned the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Metal 1, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device and a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge (M-14).

He married Rosie (Riojas) Robles on June 6, 1970, in Victoria, Texas. To this union formed a loving and caring family who he was proud to call his own. After leaving the Marines, David worked as a carpenter in Houston and the surrounding areas until he retired.

David touched everyone with his generosity and humor. He was always willing to buy a meal and share a laugh. He loved playing pool with anyone who challenged him, while the music was playing in the background. David was a huge Astros fan from their inception and rarely missed a game.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, Adolph Robles, Albert Robles, Gilbert Robles, Paul Robles, Ruben Robles, Aniseto Carbajal and sister Janie Garcia.

David is survived by his children, Randall Guerra, Tracy Robles; daughter Michelle King; grandchildren Lauren Guerra, Jordan Schaefer, Theodore “Ted” Robles, and Mila King.

Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2024 from 8am until 7pm with family present from 5pm until 7pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services for David Robles will be Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 12 noon at Brenham Memorial Chapel with Vincent Williams officiating. The burial will be at Houston National Cemetery on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 11am.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Robles, Joe T. Garica, Randall Guerra, Sam Robles, Theodore Robles, and Tracy Robles.
